JC signed a PO Platinum package in the 1st semester of his Junior year, and after 2 productive meetings with his Senior Consultant, we were able to construct a thorough and meticulous roadmap for him to follow. J’s charisma and analytical skills impressed us from the beginning; however, we really had to slow him down and develop a structured timeline that would allow him to develop the full range of his abilities and quirks in a productive way. Sometimes students who are naturally gifted find it difficult to concentrate and present a compelling profile to the top US universities. In this roadmap, we accounted for his average test-taking abilities, and recommended that he take the ACT after he was unable to raise his score on the SAT. Furthermore, we had conversations with J about his broad range of interests, and outlined goals for him to accomplish during his final year of high school, and beyond. We stressed that these goals were merely a starting point, and instilled in him the discipline to make the vision presented in the roadmap a reality.

This comprehensive planning gave J a step-by-step and actionable plan for him to follow in order to focus his interests and develop a compelling hook for college. J's inquisitiveness provided a strong foundation to build upon, and Prestige Only helped J strengthen his interest in Physics by helping him apply for a summer program at Cornell in which he worked with a highly advanced particle accelerator. Furthermore, the nexus of J's many passions was public speaking, so Prestige Only helped J by creating an independent project--in this case a TEDx talk at his school--that would set him apart from other students. Finally, Prestige Only helped J narrow down the focus of his personal statement by paring down the word count from his initial draft of 3000 words to the eventual 600.
