Through Prestige Only's rigorous reading and writing development, we were able to enhance R's writing skills to be commensurate with his excellent test scores and GPA. Though R was a stellar student--as evidenced by his GPA--and a great test taker, he needed to improve his writing skills in order to be able to flourish in college. R benefited from signing with PO as a Junior; with the Platinum package, we were able to focus on his writing skills well in advanced of college application deadlines.

We exposed R to a wide variety of journalism and independent readings for him to digest. Not only did these serve to heighten his interest in Biology, but also we were able to ask R to reflect on these readings by writing essays that mirrored college essays. Furthermore, we suggested personalized book lists for R that expanded the breadth of his knowledge. When it came time to dive into school research, PO assigned mock supplemental essays for R so that he could practice writing about his passions and how he was an excellent fit at certain universities.

Finally, PO helped R through the intensive and time consuming essay brainstorming and drafting process. Given R's ambitious school list, PO was able to plan ahead and construct an aggressive personal statement and supplemental essay schedule for him. We were able to get a head start on his personal statement and supplemental essay brainstorming well before the August 1 date when the Common Application opened. R's writing was solid but uninspired; PO worked with R to improve the level of specificity of his writing by teasing out relevant examples from his childhood and schooling. R parlayed the extremely valuable practice that we conducted into strong school supplemental essays that highlighted his academic desires and thorough school research. We are confident that PO's exhaustive Reading and Writing Development helped R in terms of writing successful college essays; however, we are more proud of the fact that he will be competent to face any challenge in his college years, and beyond.
